How it Works at the Store

The Gift Card is loaded and activated at the cash desks of Magazzini Berton, with a minimum amount of EUR 20. After activation, you will receive a receipt to keep as proof of purchase. This receipt will specify the amount loaded on the card. From this moment on, the card will be valid for 12 months. At this point, the card can be used, and you can deliver it to your recipient, who will only have to visit the store and choose his or her gift.

To know the expiry date of the Gift Card, all you need to do is to stop by the cash desks of Berton Magazzini. The balance will be shown on the receipt issued at the time of purchase when the Gift Card is used. The Gift Card is a preloaded card, and as such, it can be used for multiple purchases until its balance reaches zero or you can use a combination of the balance remaining on the Gift Card and issue payment for the rest at purchase time. The Gift Card cannot be reloaded, and it does not give the right to monetary reimbursement of any remaining balance. The Gift Card is to the bearer, and it is equivalent to cash: if lost, stolen or damaged it cannot be blocked and Magazzini Berton Srl is not liable for any improper use, theft, loss or damage. After its expiration, the Gift Card will no longer be usable, and the bearer will have no right to reimbursement in any form or manner for any remaining balance. Tax Benefits

Coupons of a value not exceeding 50 euros are fully tax deductible as gifts without falling under the category of representation costs as specified in art. 108, paragraph 2 of the DPR No. 917/86. Coupons of a value not exceeding 258.23 euros do not represent employee income and are fully tax deductible by the employer as remuneration in kind (art. 51 paragraph 3 DPR No. 917/86). The aforementioned limit must also be calculated in combination with other benefits granted to the employee. General Terms and Conditions of Use - The Berton Gift Card is a card that must be preloaded with a chosen amount and ready to be given as a gift on every occasion. It is available at our point of sale in Bolzano Vicentino, Via Zuccola 24 or by e-mail (customerservice@bertonshop.com) if you wish to receive it directly at home. The use of the Gift Card is governed by the following Terms and Conditions of Use: The Gift Card loaded in-store at the point of sale in Bolzano Vicentino can be used exclusively to purchase, in one or multiple occasions, the items sold and paid at Berton Magazzini. Any items sold in stores located within Berton Magazzini but managed by third parties and equipped with independent cash desks (Le Calze, Pillan Profumeria, Volpato Calzature) are excluded. The Gift Card is loaded and activated with a minimum value of 20 euros. After activation at the cash desk upon payment of the desired loading amount - in cash or through other methods of payment accepted by Magazzini Berton Srl - the Client will receive a receipt to be kept as proof of payment that will show the amount loaded on the card. If the purchase of the Gift Card is performed by e-mail, specifying the amount to load, the shipping address and the method of payment, the Client will receive an order confirmation, and subsequently, the Gift Card will be sent directly to the address specified, by courier. From the moment in which it is activated, the card will be valid for 12 (twelve) months. The amount loaded on the card does not accrue interests. To know the expiry date, all you need to do is to stop by the cash desks of Berton Magazzini. The balance will be shown on the receipt issued at the time of purchase when the Gift Card is used. The Gift Card's holder will have to check the balance shown on the receipt before leaving the store. The Gift Card is a preloaded card, and as such, it can be used for multiple purchases until its balance is fully used or a combination of balance and purchase payment is made. The Gift Card cannot be reloaded, and it does not give the right to monetary reimbursements. The Gift Card is to the bearer and it is equivalent to cash: if lost, stolen or damaged it cannot be blocked and Magazzini Berton Srl is not liable for any improper use, theft, loss or damage. In case of theft or damage that may make the barcode or the numerical code associated with the card illegible, or in the case of loss, the Gift Card will not be replaced or reimbursed. The Gift Card can be used from the date of its purchase until the date of its expiration. If the starting value or the balance is not sufficient to purchase the desired item(s), the remaining amount will have to be paid in cash or using any of the other payment methods accepted by Magazzini Berton Srl. After its expiration, the Gift Card will no longer be usable, and the bearer will have no right to reimbursement in any form or manner for any remaining balance. Any claim concerning the use of the Gift Card may be sent via e-mail to customerservice@bertonshop.com. The purchase and use of the Gift Card imply acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Use. The Terms and Conditions of Use currently in force and updated will be published from time to time on the website www.bertonmagazzini.it, www.bertonshop.com and will also be available in store. Pursuant to Resolution No. 21/E/2011 of the Revenue Agency, the Gift Card does not represent merchandise but merely a means of entitlement (art. 2002 of the Civil Code) and thus the amounts paid for its purchase are not subject to VAT pursuant to art. 2, paragraph 3, letter A) of the DPR N. 633/72. Any claim related to the use of the Gift Card will be governed according to Italian Law.
